We weren’t really sure what to expect going in but I have to say we were pleasantly surprised. The team at Main Event Entertainment greeted us right away. They were friendly and welcoming. They took the time to ask about our needs and go over their offerings with us. My fiance and I had joked about sampling DJ’s in order to find one for our wedding. Brien Lafferty was amazing. We had a small-ish informal wedding in September. Brien’s choice of music allowed EVERYONE the opportunity to get up and dance, fast or slow. I think songs should vary in that way so all can have fun. Ive been to weddings where there may be just a handful of slower songs and I feel that its not always enjoyable for the people that dont like to get up and dance the faster ones. I really appreciated Brien’s decision to change it up. Thank you so much for helping to make our day so much fun and memorable!

DJ Kevin Maldonado was fantastic at our holiday party for children & adults with special needs. We originally asked him to keep the sound low due to sensory concerns, but it turned out our folks loved the louder dance music! Kevin had everyone up on the floor, dancing until the end! We got matched with DJ Tyler Campbell through our venue, Granite Rose, and we could not have been happier! Tyler was an amazing DJ and his taste in music matched ours perfectly. SO many people asked us if we provided the DJ with the song list because it was that on point. It was all the songs we listened to and partied to, a great mix of oldies from our teen years and new songs. And multiple people commented on how he had the volume at the perfect level- loud enough to feel like a party but not loud enough to make your ears ring or deter you from talking on the dance floor. I don’t think I ever saw the dance floor go empty (except when desserts came out and everyone sat back down to eat), and the fact that most of our friends stayed until closing time at 10pm on a Sunday speaks to how awesome Tyler was as a DJ.

Dan Pelletier was such a great DJ for our graduate school formal. He was sure to take our song requests without question. There was not a single song we did not like, and everyone had so much fun dancing and singing along. His attention to reading the crowd at times during dinner and when everyone was done eating with regards to song selection were spot on, and we couldn’t have asked for a better experience. He was also prepared prior to the event start, which was so calming and reassuring to the event coordinators. We will definitely be contacting him for future events.

I am not sure I can adequately explain how thrilled not only my husband and I were, but since the event I’ve had numerous phone calls full of praise him. Jay was the DJ for my combined 70th birthday and retirement party and we had asked for fairly specific artists, as the crowd was a bit older than what you would typically find at a wedding. However, the way Jay spun those tunes and the dancing on the floor, you would have thought you were in fact at a wedding! What a party! What a FABULOUS time! Over and above that, Jay is personable, knowledgeable and very professional and fun! I know we would hire him again in a heartbeat and I’m pretty sure some of the guests have his contact information. I attended a wedding this past weekend that Joey Dion was DJing. What a great time!! He was so creative and so much fun!! At no point was he on “auto-pilot”. At one point, in one of the speeches, someone mentioned listening to Bone Thugs N Harmony when they were young, and as they finished the speech, he started playing “Crossroads”. Such a riot!! Everyone got a kick out of it!! He was so involve and kept the dance floor full all night. I’ve never been to an event where a DJ could read a crowd so well.
