Our wedding was on 9/21/23, and our reception was dj’d by Lloyd Mnaphi. From music on the beach ceremony to meal and dance music, Lloyd had it completely covered. He kept the flow of our event seamless and the dance floor hopping. Was open to requests and had a great rapport with our guests. Everyone was saying, that they enjoyed his energy.
We cannot thank you, DJ Meghan, enough for an outstanding job keeping everyone entertained at the 1st Communion reception yesterday afternoon! I had so many guests tell me how pleased they were with you and we all had a blast. You will be recommended often for sure. Keep up the great work!

We booked DJ Kibar for our 12.21.23 wedding, and it was one of the best decisions we made! Kibar was incredibly attentive and helpful from start to finish, and his professionalism yet fun attitude made it very easy to work with him. He kept the party going and did an amazing job. We had guests who we never thought we’d see dance on the dance floor, if that tells you anything!
Kevin Sawler was the DJ we picked for our wedding. We knew he would be a good fit for us as soon as we saw his demo video. After meeting Kevin in person, we loved his personality and expected the wedding to be a success. It was! He played everything I had requested in advance and also filtered out some not so good requests throughout the night. We would highly recommend Kevin and Main Event to anyone that asked. We met Dan in person ahead of our event, and loved getting to know him. He is super nice and easy to talk to, he’s a dedicated musician, and he has tons of experience both DJing and performing. As musicians ourselves, we felt immediate trust that his musical sensibilities would make him an EXCELLENT DJ for us. And we were right!! Dan kept the party going all night and seamlessly moved through the music we wanted to hear – taking our playlists and blending them with music he knew would fit the vibe. DJ Dan was INCREDIBLE– from helping to plan our music, to understanding our wedding timeline, communication and day-of he was so great, especially with making sure the sound at the ceremony was perfect, (we had no electricity there either) and the dance floor was NEVER empty, it was perfect.
Our DJ Tom Darling was so amazing! From going out in the heat and humidity making sure our sound checks were perfect for the ceremony to understanding our facial cues when my husband and I didn’t realize how long 40 seconds was for our first dance! Tom was fantastic. There’s always a bit of concern when a Dj says they’ll read the room to interpret what type of music to play and make sure the night flows, but with Tom he didn’t read the room, he wrote it! If you book Tom, and I highly suggest you do, make sure he gets up and dances to all the cheesy songs with you. One of the nights shining moments!

Portsmouth Harbor Events Center
Tom was amazing. He was very charismatic and very polite and before setting up a game or making an announcement he was able to find me or my husband and ask us for timing or how we would like things to go. He was very attentive to the crowd and found songs that keep people dancing the whole time. I really can’t say enough good things about him, he helped keep everything super organized and running well and it took minimal effort on our part.
Main Event was a fantastic vendor to work with, great communication, organized, professional. Our DJ, Matt Perez, killed it! Our conversations prior to the wedding were great and he was very helpful in helping us pick all the right music, including some suggestions for the ceremony/special events. The dance floor was full all night, all ages guests! Matt also took great care of other details above and beyond his role. His equipment was professional and looked great in the space. Very happy and would recommend if you are looking for an fun event! Everyone had a great time and multiple people said Best DJ ever!
Brien played great music and looked like he was having a great time while emceeing. Everyone at my wedding told me how great he was and I was asked who he was and where he came from.

The PhotoBooth was a HUGE hit at our wedding!! The attendants were so awesome and easy to work with. My husband and I are so glad we chose to get the PhotoBooth. Our guests had a blast taking pictures!

Tom Darling was very professional and friendly to work with! Our wedding day was the most amazing experience, and having Tom there eased a lot of stress and unknowns as he was great at keeping things flowing. As the bride I had communication with him all night and he just smiled at me and made sure it went well. From the first song we had a dance floor filled with people and each song played was amazing. He was the perfect entertainer and DJ for our special day. We cannot thank Tom enough and think of him very highly!
If you can, book Tom Darling as your DJ; you certainly will not regret it! He was so easy to collaborate with, professional, personable, and so much fun. He took our playlist and used it perfectly while still adding in lots of music to get everybody out on the dance floor. People said to us after the wedding that they usually never spend that much time dancing! To top off his professionalism, he even drove home one of our guests who was without a ride at the end of the night. Such a gentleman! My husband and I can’t recommend him highly enough! I attended a wedding this past weekend that Joey Dion was DJing. What a great time!! He was so creative and so much fun!! At no point was he on “auto-pilot”. At one point, in one of the speeches, someone mentioned listening to Bone Thugs N Harmony when they were young, and as they finished the speech, he started playing “Crossroads”. Such a riot!! Everyone got a kick out of it!! He was so involve and kept the dance floor full all night. I’ve never been to an event where a DJ could read a crowd so well. Always full of surprises and had us laughing all night. Thanks for a great time Joey!!

I wanted to send a message to say how much we loved Adam Blackstock. My daughter and her new husband had an awesome time at their reception. Adam made the wedding serive and reception flow flawlessly. We all especially loved when he gave the kids blow up guitars and played Spongebob Squarepants. Jay was awesome. We had a rather small wedding crowd with shy guests. He was able to get them up and dancing, and kept everyone entertained. Even when dancing slowed down, everyone loved the music being played and there were smiles all around! He was all around exactly what our party needed!

We met Kelly at a wedding expo and my fiance and I were very impressed with her right from the start. She was very professional as well as personable. Throughout the entire process, Kelly was always there to help no matter what we asked and responded to all of our emails promptly. She also gave us great suggestions on things I hadn’t even thought of! After our wedding we had numerous people come up to us and tell us that she was one of the best DJs they had seen in a long time. We have had two couples from our wedding who were recently engaged already contact Kelly for her services. I will recommend Kelly to anyone who is looking for a wonderful DJ for any occasion!

We hired Jay from Main Event for our wedding on 9/30/23. He was AMAZING! He was flexible when we requested to change our timeline DURING the wedding. Had all our family and friends dancing the night away. He was timely, respectful, fun, and i trusted him completely! Affordable for this industry. Would definitely hire him over and over again. We used Adam as our DJ and couldn’t have be happier. People were dancing all night. He knew the perfect music to play. He came up to us multiple times during the night to keep us informed on the order of things and what we needed to start thinking about. He was super nice and very accessible. We were thrilled with the outcome of both our ceremony and reception music!

Joey was amazing!! We are still getting compliments on how great the DJ was! He played a great variety of music and he knew what music got the crowd going! Kelly Elliott is absolutely incredible. First, as a DJ, she did a great job of reading the crowd and playing music that got people up to dance and have fun (but also slowed it down during dinner). But, more importantly, she is an awesome MC. From announcing the wedding party to keeping the flow of the reception schedule, the entire reception felt seamless, professional, and fun. She also read our “cues” and was able to go with the flow according to what we wanted. I don’t think we were high maintenance, but we demanded a lot from her, and she smiled, cooperated, and made everyone feel comfortable. When you are choosing a DJ, please remember that a DJ does more than play music – she is also in charge of the flow, the ambiance, and character of your reception. Choose wisely.

Loved how chill and organized Brien was, he made sure everything flowed smoothly and we spent the whole night dancing!!
Jay made every step of the planning process as easy as possible. He did research on the songs & artists I requested, and it showed. He listened to every single question Clare & I had, and answered them in the quickest fashion. He was on time, if not early, and he was courteous to all the guests. 11/10 for Jay! He even helped to find a song for Clare & I to do our duet! During the reception, he kept things rolling, and fun at the same time! The games were a great suggestion from him, they were a HIT! The music during the reception was awesome, and he RAN the dance floor with the jams. Would recommend to everybody, forever. Cheers!

Our DJ Brien Lafferty was AMAZING! He had the best energy and played such a great variety of music as we had people of all different ages at our wedding. People are still talking about how great the music at our wedding was.! He listened to all of our requests for the songs we wanted in our ceremony introductions, and all of our important dances. His personality completely fit with our wedding guest and really made the entire night a blast.! We couldn’t have asked for a better fit for what we envisioned for our wedding night and highly recommend him for any event you are planning. We will definitely be booking him again for future events we will be hosting!

My husband and I could not be more happy that we were matched with Tom Darling for our wedding. From the moment we met Tom prior to the wedding we knew he was going to be an incredible dj. He was easy to talk to, had multiple options for songs to play for different events throughout the night and went out of his way to make sure the songs we wanted played he was able to find. Our guest raved about the music throughout the wedding night and commented on the amazing energy Tom brought. In addition, we were lucky to have Justin Mellan who assisted Tom. He was equally as energetic! Both Tom and Justin made a point to check in with us throughout the night, kept the guest on the dance floor (no joke, our dance floor was never bare), and overall made the night one we’ll never forget!

Kevin Maldonado was our DJ. And honestly he was phenomenal. He brought the energy all day. Was great at making all the announcements that was needed. The playist he made for us was great. 10 for 10 will be raving about him for years to come. Our guest have even asked about him and have all had great things to say. So needless to say we loved Kevin and sincerely hope that anyone who sees this chooses him for your special day. He definitely made our day memorable.
Hayden was our DJ for our wedding on 1.21.24. He was spectacular throughout the entire day and every meeting leading up to the wedding. We definitely didn’t make it easy for him during our meetings but he worked through it with us and was extremely courteous & professional each time. Hayden had an incredible music selection and matched our tastes perfectly! Could not be happier. Thank you so much!

Brien Lafferty was amazing. We had a small-ish informal wedding in September. Brien’s choice of music allowed EVERYONE the opportunity to get up and dance, fast or slow. I think songs should vary in that way so all can have fun. Ive been to weddings where there may be just a handful of slower songs and I feel that its not always enjoyable for the people that dont like to get up and dance the faster ones. I really appreciated Brien’s decision to change it up. Thank you so much for helping to make our day so much fun and memorable!
